On Monday, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced that Germany will be stationing 4,000 troops in fellow NATO member state Lithuania in an effort to secure the alliance’s eastern flank. It is a move that is likely to be seen by Russia as yet another escalation. “Germany is ready to permanently station a robust brigade in Lithuania,” Pistorius announced from Vilnius.

After decades of war in the Middle East, the joint force is retooling to pierce the bubble of China’s formidable anti-access, area-denial defenses. The national defense strategy calls China the pacing challenge and Defense Department officials have called a cross-strait Chinese invasion of Taiwan the pacing scenario. The most stressing part of this scenario would be the fight to sink the invasion fleet as it approaches Taiwan’s shores.

Denmark has commenced the training of Ukrainian pilots on the Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon combat aircraft, the defence minister for the Scandinavian country announced on 25 June.
Speaking on national radio, Minister for Economic Affairs Troels Lund Poulsen said that a decision by the Danish government to bring forward the retirement of the F-16 in Royal Danish Air Force (RDAF) service by two years to 2025 had paved the way for Ukrainian crews to be trained on the type.
The Terrier was the first surface-to-air missile used by the U.S. Navy. The guided-missile cruiser is equipped with multiple launchers, each with two rails, each RIM-2. The two-stage stem is initially launched by a 12-foot-long booster, which, combined with the main sustainment motor (two solid-fuel rocket types), will propel RIM-2 to a speed close to Mach 2.5. This terrier is armed with a conventional explosive warhead.

The first group of Australian submariners to attend the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Power School is set to graduate next week. This is an important step in the Royal Australian Navy’s effort to establish a fleet of nuclear-powered, but conventionally-armed submarines, including examples of the U.S. Virginia class. This initiative is a key component of the still relatively new trilateral Australia-United Kingdom-United States defense cooperation agreement, or AUKUS.
What are the latest performance parameters of the J-17 missile?
It is reported that the Jili-17 missile has a range of more than 500 kilometers, a speed as high as Mach 2.5, and the ability to cruise at supersonic speeds. At the same time, it can also hit targets such as tanks and sea ships.
As an important part of China’s air combat weapons, the Jili-17 missile has an irreplaceable position.
Its high-speed and stealthy performance can effectively avoid the reconnaissance and attack of the enemy’s air defense, thereby improving the success rate of striking the target.
The United States’ intelligence community has reported that China is readying its military to potentially invade Taiwan by 2027. But a top Space Force official said his service is not moving fast enough to deter, and possibly defend against, attacks on U.S. space-based assets that would play a role in such a conflict.

The Army has selected General Dynamics Land Systems and American Rheinmetall Vehicles for the next phase of its XM30 mechanized infantry combat vehicle program — an initiative formerly known as the Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle (OMFV).
The rebranded project is intended to replace the Bradley fighting vehicle and bring “new, transformational capabilities to the fight,” Army acquisition chief Doug Bush told reporters during a roundtable Monday a few hours before the formal announcement of the contract awards, which have a total value of $1.6 billion.

Despite ending his revolt, the head of the mercenaries will continue to be a thorn in the side of the Kremlin.
What awaits Yevgeny Prigozhin?
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Saturday that the Wagner chief had agreed to leave Russia for Belarus as part of a deal to end his armed revolt while charges against him for organizing the rebellion. Peskov added that Vladimir Putin and Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko had guaranteed Prigozhin’s personal safety.
The current whereabouts of the caudillo is unknown.
Even before September 11, 2001, Osama bin Laden was by far the world’s most well-known terrorist. He had spent the 1980s helping the Afghan mujahideen fight the Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan. By 1996, Bin Laden had declared war on the United States with the 1998 bombing of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, the bombing of the USS Cole in 2000, and of course, the September 11th attacks.

In a new audio message posted on his Telegram channel Monday, Wagner Private Military Corporation leader Yevgeny Prigozhin took yet another swipe at Russian military leadership, saying his mutinous march toward Moscow was a lesson in how to conduct maneuver warfare aimed at preserving his organization. He also expressed regret at “being forced” to shoot down nearly a dozen Russian aircraft in the process.
Vladimir Putin’s determination to turn Russia into the opposite of America has done Russian citizens no favors. Scholars may debate whether this impulse has been out of self-interest or disdain for the West. Recent events, such as the mutiny of the head of the Wagner mercenary group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, and his march on Moscow, show that Russia is more unstable and less free today than in many years.

Given the lack of Pentagon orders in next year’s budget, the V-22 tilt-rotor production line is scheduled to shut down in 2026. Their fate illustrates the inbred illusion of the military-industrial complex and its complete lack of error detection.
The V-22 Osprey takes off and lands like a helicopter, but its tilt rotors and engines allow it to fly farther and faster than a regular helicopter. And while the helicopters are high-maintenance, they’re child’s play compared to the complexity of the V-22.

According to a photo posted on the company’s Twitter account, Russia has delivered an undisclosed number of TOR-M2K air defense missile systems to Egypt. The air defense system, based on the 9А331МК chassis developed by the Belarusian company MZKT, will further increase Egypt’s considerable anti-aircraft capabilities.
For several years, Egypt has been strengthening its defense relationship with Russia, adding to its current air defense systems, including the S-300VM/SA-23, Tor-M1, S-125 Pechora-2M and the Buk-M2. The country also has a large collection of surface-to-air missiles.
Italy, France and the United Kingdom signed a letter of intent last week during the Paris Air Show. With this agreement, the Franco-British Future Cruise and Anti-Ship Weapon (FC/ASW) program will be opened up to the Italian partner.
According to a press release from the French Ministry of the Armed Forces, the dialogue phase that will now take place between the three countries will lay the foundations for the development phase that will follow. “The goal for each of the three countries is to have an operational deep attack capability by 2030.
The Pentagon’s overarching vision to connect assets operating across land, sea, air, space and cyberspace under one network — known as Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) — would ultimately enable the U.S. military to process and analyze data captured from sensors in all those domains to speed up decision-making.
It would be a brigade and its equipment to protect the eastern flank of NATO. Currently, Germany has 850 soldiers permanently deployed in that Baltic country.

The Danish government will actively consider whether or not to transfer F-16 Viper fighter jets to the Ukrainian Air Force now that it has made its move to start training that country’s pilots to fly the jets. Authorities in Denmark have also announced plans to have the last of their existing F-16AM/BMs out of service by 2025, two years earlier than expected, which help pave the way for sending at least some of those aircraft to Ukraine.
